All the vendors are requested to update their profile regarding Category of Industry in view of the revised criteria for classification of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) issued by Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India (Vide Ministry of MSME Gazette Notification No. 1532 Dated 01-06-2020). The updation may be done through the menu 'Profile' available in the Home Page after login by the Vendors.
India Optel Limited, a fully owned Government of India, Enterprise, under Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence has been incorporated to achieve self-reliance in the field of Optoelectronics solutions for Armed Forces, and para military forces of Ministry of Home Affairs along with other customers.

India Optel Limited is having 03 manufacturing units located in different geographical locations across India to cater the requirements of Indian Defence Forces including MHA forces and various State Police forces.
- Opto-Electronics Factory, Dehradun (OLF) was established on the 4th April 1988 with technical collaboration from erstwhile USSR for production of hi-tech optical and Opto-Electronic instruments for tank T-72 and Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV) BMP-II also known as SARATH.
- Ordnance Factory, Dehradun popularly known as OF Dun was conceived in 1941, as a result of the decision to shift the Mathematical Instruments Office, from 15 Wood Street, Kolkata.
- Ordnance Factory, Chandigarh (OCFD), was established in 1963 in collaboration with M/s Sumitomo Electric Inc, Japan to cater to the communication needs of India’s armed forces.

This registration portal has been made centralised. Accordingly previous multiple Vendor Code (factory wise) for a single vendor has been replaced with single Vendor code across the organisation with centralised registration certificate.
